eBilling Terms & Conditions

NOTE: Parcels will be removed automatically from your ebilling account whenever there is a change of ownership to the property.  You will need to re-enroll parcels to receive tax bills electronically.

Ebilling service enables you receive tax bills by email and to view and pay your San Joaquin property taxes online. The San Joaquin County Treasurer-Tax Collector (SJC TTC) is committed to ensuring your online billing is always available. However, if you do not retrieve or cannot view your tax bill, the SJC TTC will not be held liable. It is your responsibility to pay your tax bill(s) in a timely manner. In the event of a discrepancy between an online tax bill and the SJC TTCs billing records, the billing records will always overrule.

You must have a valid email account to use ebilling. You must provide us with the valid email address to which you would like notification of your tax bill availability to be sent. The accuracy of that email address is your responsibility. Should that email account become invalid or should you wish notification of your tax bill availability to be sent to a different email address, it is your responsibility to update your ebilling account. You are fully liable for any tax bills for which notification has been sent, even if sent to an invalid email address.

The SJC TTC will not be liable for any emails caught in a spam or junk mail filter, nor be liable for any emails rejected by a firewall or any other reasons that may prevent you from receiving or viewing the tax bill notification. You are fully responsible and liable to pay any bills in which notification has been sent.  Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of their responsibility of payment nor constitute cause for cancellation of penalties in cases of delinquency.

Your password should be kept secret.  SJC TTC accepts no responsibility or liability in the event that your password is used by an unauthorized user to access your account. You should contact us immediately if your password has been compromised.

Property taxes are due and payable on the due date of each bill. You are fully responsible and liable to pay any bills.

Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained by your use of the ebilling service is done at your discretion and risk and you are solely responsible for any damages to your computer system or loss of data that result from downloading of such material. You also agree that SJC TTC will not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential losses or damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses. In addition to the indemnities set forth in these Terms and Conditions, you also defend, indemnify and hold harmless SJC TTC, its employees, related County departments and service providers and each of their directors, officers, employees, consultants and agents from and against all claims, liabilities and expenses, including legal fees and costs, arising out of your use of ebill and any breach of these Terms and Conditions.

You may cancel your enrollment in the ebilling service at any time by requesting cancellation via email to [email protected] or by calling the SJCTTC’s Office at (209) 468-2133.
